Biography
Ioan Cristian Chifu is a graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Babeș-Bolyai University, class of 1996, graduate of the postgraduate program Nonlinear operators and differential equations, class of 1997 and PhD in Mathematics since 2003, the title of his doctoral thesis being "Contributions to the qualitative theory of partial differential equations". He has been a tenured professor at the Faculty of Business since 1999, becoming a professor in 2015.

He is the holder of the following courses:
• Introduction to econometrics – undergraduate level, Romanian language;
• Econometrics – master level, Romanian and English;
• Quantitative methods in the hotel industry – master level, Romanian language;
• Forecasts in tourism – master level, English.
Areas of scientific interest
His main research fields are Fixed Point Theory and Applied Statistics, fields in which he published 5 books and over 30 scientific articles.
