Biography
Marius Gavriletea is a Professor of Finance at Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Business where he teaches courses of Insurance & Reinsurance ; International Insurance ; Risk Financing & Risk Control ; Insurances in Hospitality Industry.
After graduating in 1998, he pursued his doctoral studies in Finance at the Babeş-Bolyai University in 2002 and in 2019 he completed his habilitation procedure in Finance at the West University of Timișoara.
Marius Gavriletea’s areas of expertise include insurances; catastrophe risk management, climate change, sustainability.
He was Project Manager for 3 National Research Grants and also a member of other research grants. He participated in more than 60 international conferences and is a member of the editorial board of several international scientific journals.
He has been part of the organizing committee for several national and international conferences and published over 40 papers in journals indexed in various international databases. Under the ERASMUS program, he actively participated as both a teacher and staff member in various universities in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Thailand.
Simultaneously with his teaching activity, he has collaborated with Allianz Tiriac Asigurari SA since 2000, reaching the highest level of expertise and obtaining professional certification from the Financial Supervisory Authority of Romania. In 2004, he obtained the qualification of expert evaluator from ANEVAR Romania. Since 2007, he has been Vice President of the international organization 'International Academy of Business and Economics' in the US. Starting in 2012, he became an associate professor at Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, teaching in the Master's program in Forensic Dentistry.
